IMPORTANT RECALL NOTICE – FENGQS F7 PRO E-BIKE

 

Dear Customer,

We are issuing this recall notice for certain units of the F7 Pro E-Bike model due to a potential safety hazard. This recall specifically affects e-bikes equipped with 52V 21.5Ah battery packs, produced on April 21, 2024. The lithium-ion battery can overheat and ignite, posing fire and burn hazards. If you own an affected unit of this model, please follow the instructions below to determine if your product is part of the recall and proceed with the recall process.

How to Determine if Your Product is Affected:

Consumers can identify if their e-bike is part of the recall by checking the battery label for the following detail: 52V 21.5Ah, Produced on April 21, 2024. The battery label, which contains this information, is visible on the front of the battery pack. For your reference, we have attached an image showing the battery label with the model and production date clearly marked.

E-Bikes with 52 – 20Ah Battery Packs are not affected.

Remedy: Refund

Consumers should immediately stop using the affected e-bikes and contact us for a full refund. To receive a refund, please provide the following :

1. A screenshot of your original order, clearly showing the order number and purchase date.

2. A photo of the battery label on your F7 Pro e-bike, showing the capacity (52V 21.5Ah) and the production date (April 21, 2024). Your name, the date, and the word “recalled” should be written on the battery label in permanent marker.

3. State that you have disposed of the battery in accordance with applicable laws and regulations (see instructions below).

Please send all three items to recall@fengqs.work . Once verified, we will process your refund. If you have questions about whether you qualify for the recall, please contact recall@fengqs.work before disposing of your battery. While an order number or receipt is not required to participate in the recall, providing this information can expedite your refund.

 

Proper Disposal of Affected Product

Consumers must follow the disposal instructions to ensure safe handling and prevent any hazards.

1. Proper Disposal:

o Contact your local Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) Collection Center. These centers may be specially equipped to safely accept and dispose of recalled lithium-ion batteries.

o Before visiting an HHW center, call ahead to confirm that they accept recalled lithium-ion batteries. If not, contact your local municipality for further guidance on how to safely dispose of the product.

2. Do not dispose of the recalled e-bike in regular trash or recycling bins.
This can cause potential safety risks, including fire hazards.

3. Do not place the recalled battery in curbside or street-level recycling bins, or any retail battery recycling boxes.
Lithium-ion batteries require special handling due to their flammability.
